Auditions for Corbin Theatre's Fall Production:
Lying in State
Lying in State is a wickedly funny political satire. The setting is a funeral parlor where seven complex, funny and engaging characters
have gathered around an elected official who is "lying in state", literally. The collection of characters is remarkable and never has a wake
provided more laughter. It doesn't matter if you are from a Red or Blue state, this fast-moving and zany comedy is white hot!
The cast calls for 4 men and 3 women, ages from 20 to 60. The characters include a "blonde" airhead, a divorcee, a wealthy brother and a political
chairman, to name a few.
Auditions will be held at Corbin Theatre on September 2nd from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. All those auditioning should plan on staying
for the entire time. The plot and characters will be explained at 7:00 p.m. followed by cold readings. Lying in State will be directed by
David Bryan. The performances are November 6th, 7th and 8th.
